Visual & Performing Arts School

As an original VAPA school, Lyndale integrates the arts into curriculum and regularly showcases students' creativity. Among our offerings:

• Musical Arts with Choir, Piano, Music, Mariachi, and Band
• Visual Art with pictorial, graphic, painting, sculptural and photography
• Media art with digital art, animation, and film
• Performing Arts with theatre arts

Extracurricular Offerings

We offer a range of sports, academic enrichment, and community partnerships for our students and families. Opportunities include:

• Student Empowerment including Girl Scouts, Student Advisory Leadership Team (SALT), Mindfulness & Yoga
• Community partners including Valley Verde Gardening Projects, Second Harvest Food Bank, Loaves & Fish
• After-school sports programs including sports tournaments, Little Heroes Soccer, Flag Football, & Cheerleading
• Academic Enrichment Programs including After School Tutoring, Think Together with a variety of enrichment in response to student interests like Lift Kitchen Cooking, Readers are Leaders, Listening to Readers, My Digital Tat2

Family engagement is encouraged and celebrated. With a variety of opportunities to engage, every Lyndale Lion family can meet their contribution goals. With every hour tracked, and recognized, we make teamwork the dreamwork! Join us in:

• Family Meetings: Family Coffees, School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Council
• Chaperoning: Field trips and Social Activities
• Attend Family Events: Walkathon, Back-to-School Night, Open House, VAPA Showcases, and STEAM Nights (Science, Tech, Engineering, Art, Math)
• Community Service: Food distribution (Loaves and Fishes and Second Harvest Food Bank) and Space Makeover and Resource Team (SMART)
• Family classes including English as a Second Language
